This half-term, why not bring the family to come and explore the National Boat, Caravan & Outdoor Show, held at the NEC, Birmingham between February14-22, 2004, for the ultimate celeb-fuelled, adrenalin-induced adventure. From skiing, snowboarding, sailing with the experts, winning a Zapcat inflatable boat ride to exploring the Victorian-themed Waterways Village or panning for gold, the event offers something for everyone.

The event boasts activities for all the family. Visitors can enjoy climbing walls, sliding down zip wires, mixing with celebrities, whilst checking out the latest motorhomes, caravans, boats, holiday homes and parks, outdoor clothing and accessories.

Think Big - if Eddie the Eagle can do it, so can you. Under the watchful eye of professional instructors, you could be transformed into an accomplished skier, snowboarder or snow tuber on the American Express Ski and Snowboard Slope. Or perhaps you prefer sea to land? In that case, take to dinghies and canoes with the RYA in the Volvo Sail and Canoe Zone. The zone also plays host to regional sailing clubs, surf kiting, jet biking, and sub aqua clubs, offering advice on where you can take part in these great recreational watersports.

Think Bold - every day, visitors will have the opportunity to win a ride in a Zapcat inflatable racing boat. And on Saturday and Sunday, February 21 and 22 , spectators will witness the ultimate showdown as eight of the UK's fastest racers go head-to-head on the NEC lake. If sport skills are lacking, you could always make your family fortune panning for gold at the Dometic Gold Mine. This themed adventure activity area will allow children to exercise their right to play, by climbing the mine face, exploring tunnels and trading in their gold bounty for a free prize, courtesy of Dometic

Think Beautiful - a whole host of celebrities and `look-alikes' will be signing autographs at the Caravan Club's stand - allowing visitors to mix with the rich and the famous first-hand. …
