Thanks to Mrs Barbara Jones for these recipes. Her daughter Emma recently started university and found it difficult after 18 years at home to eat healthily without spending a fortune. So mum passed on these recipes.

TORTILLA TURKEY WRAPS

15ml (1 tbsp) vegetable oil

4 turkey breasts (turkey is cheaper and has less fat)

1 onion, sliced

1 red pepper, deseeded, sliced

Pinch of chilli powder

99pc Fat Free Tomato Soup

100ml (31/2 fl oz) water

8 large flour tortillas

150g (51/2 oz) Cheddar cheese, grated

Campbell's Condensed soups are better value and also taste creamier when making sauces.

Heat a frying pan, add the oil and stir-fry turkey, onion and pepper for 10 mins. Stir in chilli powder, soup and water and simmer for 5 mins, stirring occasionally. Divide mixture between tortillas and roll them up. Place tortillas in shallow flame-proof dish, sprinkle with cheese and grill until cheese melts. Serve with salad.

TUNA PASTA BAKE

200g (7oz) pasta

Cream of Mushroom or Cream of Sweetcorn Soup

200ml (7 fl oz) milk

6 spring onions, trimmed

198g can tuna, drained

200g sweetcorn, drained (optional)

100g (3 1/2oz) cheddar cheese, grated
