Reliable plumbers can be hard to find, so it is good to know someone like the Master Plumber of the Year, as voted by the Federation of Master Plumbers.

And, especially for Homes & Property readers, Ian Puddick of Corgiregistered Leakbusters is offering a deal on the installation of Vaillant combination boilers.

All boilers are installed by Corgi-registered engineers.

Vaillant, generally considered to produce the most reliable boilers, has developed a new combination system. The average cost of a combination boiler swap is about [pounds sterling]1,600, plus VAT, but Leakbusters will install a Vaillant Turbomax, including time clock and flue, from [pounds sterling]1,000, plus VAT.

All work is covered by a 12-month guarantee. Site visits and quotations are free of charge. Call Leakbusters on 0800 328 8125.

VacuSac costs [pounds sterling]13.99 and is available from a retail outlets including Homebase, Harrods and Lakeland. Call 0800 652 7730 for more details.
