Parry Sees Red over TV 'Puke Swing' Slur

CRAIG PARRY has complained to US Tour golf officials about derogatory comments made by television commentator Johnny Miller during the Australian's playoff victory over Scott Verplank at the Doral Championship in Miami.

Miller, twice a major winner in the 1970s, told viewers that Parry's golf swing was "enough to make Ben Hogan puke".

Parry, 38, said today: "I've rung up the tour and asked if can we sort this out because there's no need for it. I mean, sure my swing mightn't be all that pretty, but I get the job done. I've got the winner's cheque and there's a lot of other guys that swing it really good and they're down the road, or a lot of other guys aren't even on tour.

"So what do you want to do? Do you want to hit the ball and know where it's going or do you want to hit it and look pretty?"

Hogan, who won the US Masters, US Open and Open Championship in 1953, was recognised as having one of the best golf swings of all time. …
