A teen gang went on a five-hour rampage carrying out a series of violent attacks.

Four separate victims were targeted, three with broken bottles and one believed to be with a bladed weapon during the terrifying assaults in Newcastle's West End.

Two men were left bleeding from head injuries and needed hospital treatment.

The victims were pounced on as they walked alone or as they tried to prevent the thugs from damaging their cars in the Arthur's Hill area of the city.

Det Insp Max Black today appealed for witnesses in any area where the attacks happened on Friday night to contact West End police station.

"We were initially alerted to an attack on a 30-year-old man at Fenham Wines, Beaconsfield Street, at around 7pm," he said.

"Another report came in at 8.10pm of damage to cars involving a group of youths in Baxterwood Court, Arthur's Hill. "Then an assault on a 28-year-old man with a broken bottle happened at Longley Street at 8. …
