House hunters are continuing to flock to Persimmon Homes' Ingleby Barwick development.

Now well established, the Fairview project will be made up of 225 new homes when completed.

Work started on site in April last year - and won't be concluded for another two years.

Ann Rushton, sales advisor, said: "We've had a great deal of interest.

"The sales office at the site doesn't open until 11am, but on a weekend we've had people here from 10.30am waiting to look around.

"I think it's down to the location.

"Ingleby Barwick is such a popular place to live. And this development has great access, straight out on to the A66 and only a few minutes from the A19."

The site is attracting interest from people who are already living on Ingleby Barwick - and those living outside the estate.

There are currently three show homes open for viewing at Fairview .

They include the five bedroom Grosvenor, the four bedroom Westminster and the five bedroom, three storey Harewood.

As well as detached homes, the site has a number of semi-detached properties - offering buyers even more choice.

"We've got a lot of younger families looking to move onto the development," added Ann.

"The three storey properties we've got here are proving really popular, people just love them.

"Teenagers like to take over the top floor.

"I think this is the way building is going. Land is getting more expensive and people want more from their homes - so we're building up with an extra floor."

Now a well established community, Ingleby Barwick continues to be a hugely popular place to live.

Access to the estate has been much improved and plans for a new school make it very attractive to buyers.

At the end of last year a new pounds 1.3m road scheme was completed to improve access to Ingleby Barwick.

The Myton Road link road means speedier journeys to and from home for those living on Europe's biggest housing estate, and eventually a huge drop in traffic passing through Thornaby. …
