Someone in a black car fired several shots from a BB gun at a 14-year-old Mandarin boy as he was skateboarding Monday in the 3500 block of Lake Mandarin Circle South, but he wasn't injured, police said.

The boy told police he was rolling along at 4:40 p.m. when the car drove by, then returned. As it drove by, the man in the passenger seat leveled a gun at the teen and fired once, missing him. The teen told police he realized it was a BB gun.

The car passed him but turned around, and another man leaned out and fired more shots at the teen, these pellets hitting him in the shoulder and leg as it drove off. Police said the teen had a red spot on his shoulder where a BB hit him, but it didn't penetrate the skin.
