TALLAHASSEE -- There are any number of ways to measure the excellence of the Tennessee women's basketball program, but a 23rd consecutive Sweet 16 appearance in as many NCAA Tournaments might be the most impressive.

The Lady Volunteers are moving on in the Midwest Regional after dismantling DePaul 79-59 on Tuesday night at the Tallahassee Leon County Civic Center.

Shanna Zolman's game-high 18 points led six double-figure scorers for the Lady Volunteers (28-3), who dominated the Blue Demons (23-7) from the start.

DePaul came into the game with high hopes, after taking the Lady Vols to overtime in a 96-89 loss in December. Those hopes were dashed when All-America center Khara Smith got in early foul trouble, limiting the Blue Demons' leading scorer to seven scoreless minutes.

"This game was all about our defense and board play," Tennessee coach Pat Summitt said after collecting career win No. 849. "When we played DePaul the first time around, it was clear that we did not bring the defensive intensity. …
