Psv Eindhoven welcome French side Auxerre for the second leg of a finely balanced Uefa Cup fourth round tie tonight knowing the competition is their only realistic shot at silverware this term.

After the first match a fortnight ago finished 1-1, there's everything to play for at the Philips Arena with a quarter-final tie against Newcastle or Real Mallorca in store for the winners.

PSV know their opponents have to score at least once to have any chance of progressing, although coach Guus Hiddink claims his side can't afford to go defensive.

"A 0-0 draw is good, but we do not have the team to play for that. We must try to create a goal and be careful in our defence," he said. "One fault can be fatal. If the French team scores they are equal with us. So we must score."

Hiddink got a timely boost ahead of the match when Wilfred Bouma returned to full training on Wednesday and returns for the match against a side PSV met in last season's Champions League. …
