Child-Friendly Fusion

If you want success you have to dream big dreams. Clearly Ford designers had that in mind when they dreamt up the Fusion. And the children of the development engineers also played a part.

More about them later. The Fusion is branded the small car with great vision, and it made an instant impact on me.

It has good looks but is clearly built with practicality in mind. Its interior is surprisingly large. Everything you need is there and handily placed, but in a no-frills fashion - stylish enough, but in a sensible, orderly way.

It is ideal for busy families with boisterous children prone to leaving footprints on seats, spilling drinks or dropping bubblegum on the floor. In other words, most families.

Taller, wider, longer and more aggressively styled than the Fiesta, the Fusion's high-level driving position means being able to see clearly and be seen.

From the driver's seat the corners of the Fusion's prominent nose can easily be seen, making it easy to thread through traffic and into tight parking spaces. No more stretching and craning the neck to guess where the bonnet ends for Fusion drivers. …
