Mill Audi in Sunderland has announced record-breaking sales figures for 2003. Sales of new and used cars for the dealership opposite the Stadium of Light are up by 17% on last year.

The Audi dealership shifted more than 700 cars throughout 2003 with a particular increase in used-car sales and sales to private buyers, both sectors up by 21% each.

While the sales team at Mill Audi toast their success, dealership manager Steve Barron has been quick to praise those who he feels don't always get the recognition they deserve. He has heaped praise on what he terms "the unsung heroes" who have helped make 2003 such a success - and in Mill Audi's case that team is made up of five women who he says have been the secret to a great year.

He added: "You'll not find any one of the managers arguing that our success is down to the hard graft of that backroom team. The sales guys have been fantastic, but their life here is made so much simpler with the support they receive."

Kay Mason has recently been joined by Sarah Foster to make up the sales support unit who have worked tirelessly to ensure purchases are completed to the customers' satisfaction. …
