With Easter rapidly approaching, it's starting to feel like the city might well be ready to enter a solid season of parties, the likes of which we've never seen before.

Everything from Godskitchen at the Arena, Mathew Herbert at the newly completed Sage music centre, Shindig's mammoth 12th birthday weekender, Groove Armada's summer Love Box party and so much more besides.

The party that starts them all, the one essential first blow out of the year, hits next Thursday.

Notorious doesn't even come close to describing the reputation gained by local record label Forensic's annual bash at World Headquarters.

Its direct links to Shindig aside, Forensic has built an enviable reputation, utilising a core team of like-minded producers, as being one of the UK's freshest and most respected outlets for house music.

Its most prolific production team Lexicon Avenue has on its own made the imprint a particular favourite with house lovers of a deeper variety across the world, with further cuts from Little Green Men, Mooncat and Echomen further adding to its general desirability. …
