Friday, April 2

A History of Photography, as defined by portraiture through the ages. This exhibition, at the DLI Museum and Durham Art Gallery until April 18, has been selected from 150 years of portrait photography. The survey runs from 19th century prints from Fox Talbot, Lady Hawarden, Julia Cameron and Frank Meadoe Sutcliffe through images by Cecil Beaton, Dorothy Wilding and Angus McBean to a collection of contemporary portraits, including Linda McCartney, Lichfield, Snowdon and Koo Stark.
