What is it about MMP Construction (NE) that winning work is as easy as shelling peas?

When others are burning the midnight oil to make sure of market share, the Bishop Auckland-based building arm of Plasline Group seems to effortlessly secure business.

That's not the case, of course. It only appears that way, as contracts continue to land on managing director Ian Smith's desk for signature.

Not all the jobs are of major value but what they do convey is the depth of the firm's customer base - from councils to fire authorities to schools to churches, to name but a few.

Durham County Council has MMP Construction (NE) altering and extending Staindrop Comprehensive School while the governors of Framwellgate School in Durham have contracted direct with the firm to design and build a new ICT suite. The contractor engaged Architects Design Group of Darlington for the latter scheme.

Weekend working in internally altering Billingham Health Centre is for customer Stockton Borough Council and a rooftop extension, new lift shaft and ramps to Tyne & Wear Metropolitan Fire Brigade's Fulwell Station is under the auspices of City of Sunderland professional staff.
