Q i have very dry, brittle hair and even the most expensive deep conditioners used every three days don't help. What can I do?

A I recommend you keep using a deep conditioning treatment. It doesn't have to be an expensive one. One secret is not to over-rinse the conditioner, leave a little bit of excess conditioner in your hair then make sure you regularly apply a leave-in conditioner between shampoos. This will help to keep the hair moist.

Q IS talcum powder good for greasy hair? If so, where do you use it - just on the roots or all over?

A It's not so much whether talcum powder is good or bad for your hair, it's more a matter of when and how to use it. For greasy hair that you don't have time to wash, adding talcum powder to greasy areas to absorb the grease and give the hair a matt look. There are actual dry shampoos available that are probably more effective than talcum powder.
