In-Form Stoic Leader Can Make It Six of the Best

Stoic Leader is in the form of his life and can make it six wins this season when he lines up at Musselburgh tonight.

Roger Fisher's gelding rattled up a quick hat-trick at the beginning of last month and took a hike up the weights as a result, but he still seems to be improving.

He can prove it by landing the George Wimpey East Scotland Ltd Handicap.

The four-year-old put up arguably the best performance of his career when a close-up fourth behind Goodbye Mr Bond in a competitive renewal of the Carlisle Bell on Wednesday.

Stoic Leader's first victory came in a Musselburgh seller two years ago, but those days are long gone and he is sure to prove hard to beat off his current handicap mark.

Favour looked set for a good season after finishing runner-up to Mis Chicaf on her four-year-old debut at Doncaster last month, but she disappointed next time out when unplaced at York over seven furlongs. The Lynda Ramsden-trained filly has had her problems in the past and she should be given another chance when she steps back down to six furlongs for the EBF Gerrard Wealth Management Fillies' Handicap at Pontefract. …
