Business Networking Gets Straight onto the Fast Track

Speed dating has revolutionised the match-making industry and now one local entrepreneur has taken it a step further by introducing speed networking to the North-East business circuit.

Seaham-based businessman Antony Vila has taken the concept to a new level and will be hosting a speed networking event next week.

The idea behind the business is the theory that we form opinions about people within a couple of minutes of meeting them.

The Northumbria University graduate started up networking company Contact25 which promises that each client will make contact with 25 people in 2.5 hours for pounds 25.

Mr Vila said: "One of the main problems with traditional networking events is that people tend to stick with the same small groups of colleagues and acquaintances.

"And when you're starting up a new enterprise it can be difficult to find the time to meet the people who can help you and your business to grow."

Mr Vila, who graduated from his business studies degree last summer, encountered these problems when running his company Jukebox Marketing. …
