It is rare that a film's cast comprises real-life VIPs, but documentary maker Michael Moore has done just that with his devastating depiction of the current US administration.

In Fahrenheit 9/11, he points the finger of blame at the White House and Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld among others, but deals his sharpest blow to President George W Bush, who is portrayed as quite the goon. He also uncovers a web of intrigue that reveals that Bush has financial ties to Saudi Arabia and also the Bin Ladens.

He builds his case with evidence which comes in the form of official documents that he's uncovered, but there is a fair amount of speculative comment to accompany the facts.

Alongside this, behind-the-scenes-style footage from the recent war in Iraq is brought into question, and it is here that the true scale of human tragedy is displayed. It is a far cry from the watered down images we often see in Western news reporting.

American soldiers put forth their honest opinions, while remaining patriotic, they also question why they are there at all.

There is fascinating insight into the lives and losses of family members affected by 9/11 and the resulting war in Iraq. …
