The rangy supermodel is a nascent property developer in London and New York and a dedicated fan of Topshop and Marni

Unfortunately, at the moment any place with a minibar attached to it. Hotel rooms are more of a permanent base for me, but I'm in the process of buying a flat in West London.

What was the last theatre show you saw in London and did you enjoy it?

The Cream of British Comedy at the Royal Albert Hall in March - it was hilarious. All the comedians I love, such as Alan Partridge, David Walliams and Peter Kay, were there.

What do you miss most when you're out of London?

My boyfriend Jamie Theakston. You sometimes miss the most obvious thing and of course it's him.

What are your extravagances?

Buying and selling apartments in New York and London because that's where I spend all my time.

I've become a bit of a property developer and I'm on a roll right now. I also want to find a few havens here to rent out.

I was reluctant to try at first, but now I'm having a great time educating myself about the market.

What would you do if you were Mayor for the day?

I'd never get the opportunity as Ken Livingstone keeps getting re-elected.

What is your life philosophy?

Listen and learn from your mistakes.

How do you get around town?

With Vic, my driver - he's been driving me for years. When I first had Vic I used to sit in the front with him because I didn't feel comfortable sitting in the back. And my boyfriend is my other means of transport!

But I do love walking places when I can.

What perfume do you wear?

Anything that smells like myrrh.

Home comforts

What are your favourite home comforts?

I'm in love with Diptyque candles - I bulk-buy them! And if I've been away from London for a while, I make myself beans on toast with melted cheese.
