Jermaine Jenas believes Sir Bobby Robson is right to be looking to add two more players to his squad.

Even if one target ( Manchester United's Nicky Butt ( could challenge him for a place in the team.

Asked who Robson should sign, Jenas said: "I do not make those sort of decisions, it is my job to play football for the club and that is all I am concerned about.

"There have been some great names touted around but it is not up to us who we sign.

"The chairman and manager have their ideas who they want to bring in but we need to sign two more players to strengthen our squad."

Fellow midfielder Gary Speed, meanwhile, is privately coming to terms with Butt's imminent arrival and is keen to sort out his own future. He could head back to England on Thursday after the first leg of the tour, with Fulham and Middlesbrough keen to sign the Wales captain.

Robson, meanwhile, is hoping his team can repay their warm reception with an entertaining performance tomorrow, though Bangkok's intense humidity will be as tough an opponent as the Thais themselves. …
