The Mandarin Newcomers Club is holding an open membership drive Wednesday, Sept. 1 through Thursday, Sept. 30.

The club started in 1982, and is open to those who live south of Baymeadows Road to Julington Creek, east to Philips Highway and west to the St. Johns River. The club offers a chance to meet neighbors and take part in activities as varied as bunco, bridge and Mah Jong as well as seminars on antiques and collectibles, as well as a monthly game night, book reviews, travel, and more.

The club normally holds monthly luncheon meetings starting at 11 a.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month at the Ramada Inn at 3130 Hartley Road. For more information, call Barbara at 262-3390.
