PASTOR APPRECIATION

The congregation of Solid Rock Church of God, 86138 Palm Tree Drive in Yulee, is having a Pastor Appreciation Weekend through Sunday.

The church is honoring the Rev. Harry Johnson and first lady Alma Johnson.

The celebration begins at 6 p.m. today at Shands Morrison Catering in Jacksonville. The weekend's events will conclude with a worship service at 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

90TH ANNIVERSARY

Yulee Baptist Church's 90th anniversary celebration will conclude at 7 p.m. today with speaker Lyn Spotts and music by Chuck Ferguson. Former church members and friends are invited.

PRESCRIPTION HELP

A free program to help seniors determine whether they are qualified for the Medicare Approved Drug Discount Card will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church of Callahan on South U.S. 301.

Dawn Emerick, the state outreach coordinator for First Coast Service Options, will give the program.

REVIVAL PLANNED

The River of Praise Worship Center's revival with evangelist Farrell Kyser will run from Sunday, Oct. 17 through Wednesday, Oct. 20.

Sunday services will be 10:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Weekday services will be at 7:30 p.m.

The church is at 83410 St. Mark Drive in Yulee.

SERVICES MOVED

Sunday services at the Amelia Plantation Chapel are in the Grand Pavilion of the Racquet Park, off Florida A1A, while the chapel is being renovated.

CROP WALK

There will be a Crop Walk at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, to raise funds to fight world hunger.

The walk begins at Memorial United Methodist Church, at Sixth and Centre streets in Fernandina Beach.
