Q: i love the new shades for Autumn but have a problem with my eyes. The lids have softened and I have a hooded look. How do I apply colour?

A: This problem affects a lot of us as we age. The easiest way to colour your eyes is to forget about your problem lids and keep make-up simple. Stick to one shade right over the lids and use just a little liner pencil in a deep shade on the outer corner of the eyes, this will make the eyes appear larger. Remember to avoid sparkly shadows.

Q: My eyes are a little "flat" and small with not a lot of shape, how can I create a better shape?

A: Use a mid-toned eyeshadow and an angled shadow brush. Brush the colour under the socket bone, don't use too much as this will give a 70s look. Practice until you feel confident and can see the difference. …
