As Nigella has reminded us, the skinny ones always think they're Audrey, and the curvy ones wannabe Marilyn. Here are ten misfits-

- She may be a domestic goddess but when Nigella Lawson admitted that her husband compared her to screen goddess Marilyn she was asking for trouble.

Just like Marilyn she has a penchant for older men, loves junk food and hangs out with her own princely set. But while Marilyn wore Chanel No5 in bed, modern Miss Scarlett's heart belongs to Calvin Klein.

In a definitive Eighties pop moment, Madonna took off Marilyn's performance in Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend for her 'Material Girl' video. But the similarities go further than that; Madonna dated JFK Jnr (Marilyn had an affair with his father) but she dumped him because he wasn't good enough in bed. Not such a fine romance. …
