Quality at Motor Repair Centre Is No Accident

As general manager of Benfield Motor Group's Accident Repair Centre, Dave Morallee's working day is anything but typical.

His day starts with a 20-minute drive from his home to begin work at the repair centre on Railway Street, Newcastle at 7am.

First job of the day is to sort through the numerous faxes that arrive during the night.

These are mostly work instructions from approved and accredited repairers.

A production meeting takes place daily to discuss any non-completed vehicles and overriding work from the previous day, as well as new and upcoming work.

Dave said: "Our first priority is to discuss the logistics of collecting damaged vehicles and arranging courtesy cars for our customers, which is essential for their comfort and convenience."

Dave then completes a daily site walk around the three buildings at Benfield Accident Repair Centre to ensure that all work is being carried out to the highest possible standard and to ensure staff have no problems or concerns. …
