The County Cup again took priority in the under-12 age group, so all the action took place in the under-13 division.

Tyneside United got their first point in a battling 2-2 draw at Whiteleas Boys. Thomas Waugh put the Shields lads two up early on and on the road to what they thought would be an easy victory but United came storming back.

Ryan Hawyes got on the end of an excellent through ball to round the keeper and slot the ball home for Tyneside's first.

With the final whistle fast approaching, and United applying sustained pressure, it was no surprise when the equaliser came. Steven Robson was the hero with a great goal after some excellent approach play.

Castle Rangers got back to winning ways with a 3-2 win over Monkton Panthers Blues. Faren Pope once again found his shooting boots and netted two of the Rangers goals, with Reece Allan adding the third.

Panthers pushed hard to get a share of the spoils and almost did. …
