Craig Dalton won the St Mary's rover match with a catch of 18lb 6oz, consisting of 35 whiting.

Russell Miller was second with 31 whiting for a total of 15lb 5oz. And Terry Dalton claimed third place with a 14lb haul comprising 32 whiting.

Geoff Walker caught the heaviest fish, a 5lb 6oz cod, and 19 weighed in out of 23.

St Mary's stage an all-night rover match tonight from 8pm.

Book in at Grangetown Boys' Club between 6.15pm and 6.30pm.

Today is also the last day that St Mary's are taking new members.

SALTBURN Sea Anglers' latest competition took place over low water and attracted 11 seniors plus two juniors.

The winner was Paul Lobley who caught 20 whiting from the River Tees estuary at 9lb 10 3/4oz.

Runner-up was Michael Ayres, who landed 14 whiting and an eel for 9lb 2oz while third-placed Mark Smith fished a rock mark and caught two codling for 8lb 4 3/4oz and had the biggest fish, a 5lb codling. …
