Ice Way to Wrap Up Warm

The temperature is dropping and the snow and ice are on the way. Layers and woolly jumpers are in season and are essential for the newest addition to the Gateshead Quays. This winter the Baltic Square is host to an open air ice rink which was officially opened last month by the Mayor of Gateshead.

The whole rink is the equivalent to four million ice cubes so Libby Nolan, 20, from Wideopen, and Mark Black, 23, from Newcastle, needed outfits to keep them warm whilst braving the ice.

The body warmer gives Mark extra manoeuvrability for a hands on job but protection he needs from the chill of the ice. This outfit was paired with jeans by G-Star with added buckle details. I also went for a matching set of knitted charcoal grey scarf and beanie hat by Diesel to finish the outfit. …
