Sir Bobby to be guest of honour at party

Geordie legend Sir Bobby Robson will bring a ray of sunshine into the lives of needy youngsters at an event to brighten up the cold winter days.

The former Newcastle United and England boss is guest of honour at Fun N Sport Club Late Late Christmas Party in February.

And all proceeds from the event, which also features top Tyneside entertainer Brendan Healy and is compered by comedian Spike Rawlings, will go to the Chronicle's Sunshine Fund charity.

Sir Bobby is a VIP supporter of the Sunshine Fund, which year after year has greatly improved the lives of hundreds of youngsters in our region.

Money raised by Chronicle readers and local businesses for the Sunshine Fund is used to improve the quality of life of sick and disabled youngsters in the North East.

It provides equipment which makes a significant improvement to their lives but is not readily available from usual sources. …
