A major red meat supply chain event will be held on November 2, 2005, at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, London.

Following the hugely successful conference in 2003 when more than 500 representatives of the red meat supply chain attended, the Red Meat Industry Forum (RMIF) will be holding the RMIF Conference 2005.

The RMIF help all areas of the red meat sector, from farm to fork, to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of this great British industry.

Livestock farmers, abattoirs, processors and retailers alike have all taken part in schemes to improve efficiency, with significant results and will be present once again to work towards a common goal.

RMIF chairman Peter Barr said: "This year's event will focus on the important achievements of RMIF programmes so far."
