Plymouth Tie Will Be Tough for Everton Says Moyes

Everton boss David Moyes is determined to avoid an FA Cup shock at the hands of two old friends.

Moyes' high-flying Barclays Premiership outfit travel to Coca-Cola Championship side Plymouth in the third round tomorrow evening with the Toffees boss well aware opposite number Bobby Williamson will be determined to make life difficult.

Moyes is a long-term friend of former Hibernian manager Williamson and his assistant Jocky Scott, both fellow Scots.

He said: "Bobby has made a really good start in English football. He did well in Scotland with both Kilmarnock and Hibs and he has worked his way through the ranks and knows the game.

"He has Jocky beside him, so there is plenty of experience to call on.

"I recall playing against Bobby in Scotland. He started at Clydebank, and I was at Celtic ( so we came up against each other a few times.

"When he went to Rangers we played against each other in an Old Firm game too. He was a tough player, a winger or centre-forward and always a handful. …
