Non-League Exeter are relishing their second crack at Manchester United after holding out for a magnificent goalless draw at Old Trafford on Saturday.

United must venture down to the English Riviera next week for a third-round replay with fuming boss Sir Alex Ferguson vowing to field a much stronger side.

He fielded a team featuring 10 changes from the Premiership draw with Tottenham ( and he might have paid with one of the greatest FA Cup shocks in history.

Ferguson admitted: "It was a totally abject performance, the worst FA Cup display in my whole time as a manager here.

"It is hard to get my head round it and I want to apologise to the fans ( they deserve far more than that.

"There is no point looking for reasons. If someone had told me before the game that that was going to be the score, I would probably have hit them."
