The final round of this season's NECCA Cyclo-Cross League will be fought out this weekend with two of the three leagues still up for grabs.

Everything bar the identity of the 2004/05 NECCA champion ( Premier League winner Noel Clough ( is yet to be decided.

While Clough has returned a perfect score of 800 points from his four counting events, even the runners-up prize will not be decided until this weekend.

Ferryhill Wheeler James Anderson, runner-up two years ago, will be hoping to at least hold on to that position.

Whether he does or not depends on any one of three riders completing Sunday's event in one of the top four positions.

Matt Kipling (AlpineRootz.com), Keith Murray (MBUK/Scott) or former double winner Stuart Wearmouth (MTS) could all topple Anderson.

They each have only three of the required four counting rounds, but crucially have a better points average of over 198 each compared to Anderson's 195, despite the fact Anderson has ridden all five rounds so far. …
