Wensleydale trainer Ferdy Murphy is hoping Your A Gassman will turn it on for the big occasion at Doncaster today.

The seven-year-old has done little wrong this season. His profile is progressive and he has strong claims for the Sky Bet Chase, formerly run as the Great Yorkshire, for which he is 2-1 favouirte with Reuben Page.

Your A Gassman was on a hat-trick at Kempton last month when he had no chance of avoiding the fallen L'Ami at the 11th and unseated Brian Harding.

Prior to that, he showed he was improving fast by reversing course placings with Gingerbread House at Kelso despite meeting his rival on slightly worse terms. His sound jumping should continue to make him competitive.

Yesterday's rain will not have helped Tikram's cause and he is unproven over three miles, so a bigger danger might be Run For Paddy who has had his problems since winning three hurdle races for Mark Pitman in 2000.

He has had spells with other trainers, including in Ireland, but has returned to his former handler and ran a fine race against Lacdoudal at Kempton. He is still fairly treated and has to be considered.

Indy Mood scored with plenty in hand on his handicap debut at Newcastle to record his third win a row and deserves to have a crack at the Grade Two Brit Insurance River Don Novices' Hurdle.

However, there promises to be another improver in the shape of Bewleys Berry who came over to Howard Johnson with a big reputation after winning three points and a bumper in Ireland. He made a winning debut over hurdles at Hexham before playing second fiddle to a potentially useful sort in Villon at Ayr.

Town Crier, a fortunate winner at Newcastle when left clear by the fall two out of Mondul, will appreciate this better ground and gets the nod over Colliers Court for the skybet.com HBLB Novices' Chase.

Bleu Superbe lost nothing in defeat when failing to give weight to the much-improved Oneway at Sandown and looks capable of defying top weight in the Skybet Mansion House Handicap Chase.

Dancing Pearl should be at her peak now after a couple of runs and a big run is anticipated in the skybetvegas. …
