Following is a list of arrests and crimes reported by Beaches area police departments:

ATLANTIC BEACH

A man reported Monday that his neighbor's dog came into his yard in the 2000 block of Lakeview Court and attacked his dog. The two dogs began fighting and the man sustained a 2-inch cut that required 10 stitches.

Police arrested a couple on cocaine possession and other drug charges Jan. 20 after going to the couple's home in the 2100 block of Mayport Road about drug sales.

The woman is charged with possession of cocaine, less than 20 grams of marijuana and conspiracy. The man faces the same charges plus a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Police found an AK-47 assault rifle under the bed and a marijuana cigar and 4.8 grams of crack cocaine in the couple's home.

Police arrested a man Sunday and charged him with driving with a suspended license, possession of crack cocaine and possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana after police saw the man sleeping in his car in the 1600 block of Mayport Road.

JACKSONVILLE BEACH

A woman reported Wednesday that a man snatched her purse off her shoulder and almost knocked her down while she was walking with a friend in the 600 block of First Street North. The purse contained $74.

Officers arrested a 32-year-old homeless man on charges of strong-arm robbery Wednesday after a man reported that he hit him in the face, threw him to the ground in the 100 block of First Street North and stole $11 and cigarettes from his pocket.

A woman reported Jan. 22 that she came home and found a burglar in her home in the 1000 block of Penman Road.

She said he ran from her bedroom, struck her in the mouth and ran out her back door. The house had been ransacked but nothing was reported missing.

A 46-year-old man was arrested Jan. 22 on drunk driving and accident charges after a police officer saw him drive his 2000 Jeep Wrangler into the rear of another car in the 200 block of First Street North. The accident caused minor injuries. …
