Celebrity Big Brother runner-up Kenzie is in Toon next week. Today he talks exclusively to Showbusiness Reporter Gordon Barr

Blazin' Squad's Kenzie proved he was a bright young thing while in the Celebrity Big Brother house ( now he's joining other Bright Young Things in Newcastle.

As revealed in the Chronicle earlier this week, he will launch the new under-18s' night at Legends in the Toon on Tuesday.

And today, as he gave the Chronicle this exclusive interview, the 19-year-old revealed how he has fallen for Geordie women.

"We've been to Newcastle several times, played the Arena there, and I'm a big fan of the place. I love the Malmaison. And the Squad are big fans of the ladies in Newcastle and a big fan of the nightlife.

"I'm going to hit the town after I've done my PA on Tuesday. My tour manager looks after me and he knows everyone up there, so he is going to sort it out. I am looking forward to it, it should be a laugh."

Kenzie hasn't had a day off since leaving the Big Brother house, although that will all change tomorrow.

"It's been really mad, but I am really enjoying it. I'm getting a lot of positive feedback. We're not getting as much stick as we used to and it's going really well. I've been working non-stop every day but I've got a day off on Friday which I am really looking forward to."

Stepping out on his own without his Squad band mates has, he admits, been strange. "It is really weird but I am kind of getting my head around it now because I have been working for a few weeks on my own now," he continues. "I've been working with my mates for two years and all of a sudden I'm out on my own, but I am still getting a profile for the band, I am selling the whole band and they know that.

"We are hopefully going to have a single out around summer time. …
