It's not very often I have to complain about Xbox owners being short-changed in any particular genre. But when it comes to horror-based games, we have been left pretty much out in the cold.

In fact, apart from the original Project Zero and, at a stretch (a huge one), Grabbed By The Ghoulies, then there's very little on offer.

Well it seems that Tecmo and Microsoft are out to remedy this with the release of Project Zero 2 ( Crimson Butterfly.

Not that this is a sequel, however. A full 30 years before the first game, we play once again twin sisters Mayu and Mio Yamakura as we learn about their childhood and the origin of the Camera Obscura, your only weapon again the evil spirits that await. On an afternoon out, the girls run across a crimson butterfly. Upon following the brightly coloured insect, the girls end up in the deserted grounds of All Gods Village. …
