Fit again defender Chris Riggott today pledged himself to the battle to help Boro realise their top six ambitions.

The talented defender is back in the squad at Bolton Wanderers tomorrow and desperate to get back into Premiership action.

Riggott, who has recovered from a medial knee ligament injury, said: "It's great to be back and I would love to go straight back into the team.

"All the lads battled because they did not want to lose it.

"It wasn't pretty in the second half but they were determined to get the three points.

"Now we have to try to ensure that it's the start of another good run."

Bolton stand in the way tomorrow and Riggott is the first to admit that it's going to be a difficult test.

He said: "We are missing a couple of players in the centre of midfield through suspension and obviously that's not the ideal situation.

"But you won't find anybody here adopting a negative attitude.

"We have gained a lot of self-belief from last week and, although we know Bolton is a very difficult place to go, we will go there looking for three points. …
