Drogba Hauls His Manager Back out on the Pitch To

CHELSEA striker Didier Drogba revealed today how he persuaded Jose Mourinho to go back out on to the pitch to celebrate with his players at the end of a Carling Cup thriller in Cardiff.

The manager had been sitting alone watching his team on a TV screen after being ordered from the touchline for inciting the Liverpool fans after Chelsea scored their late equaliser.

Drogba, who also admitted he was desperate to score after being controversially sent off in the Champions League clash against Barcelona four days earlier, said: "I had to do this for my teammates.

"I told him [Mourinho] that we win together, we lose together and we celebrate together.

"It was me who went back for him but it could have been any of us. That is the spirit of this team."

Drogba scored one of Chelsea's goals in a thrilling period of extra-time and he added: "I had to score in this match. …
