Crystal Dynamics' latest game may not be the greatest first-person shooter ever made (the competition is far too tough for that accolade), but it certainly feels like one of the most frenetic. From the very start you're shooting for your life and the action rarely decelerates.

You play Nathan Frost, a super-soldier who has been augmented with nano-technology that is upgraded as the game progresses. None of your special powers are absolutely necessary, but they certainly make the game go with a bang, as well as allowing you plenty of choices in how to approach each combat situation.

It's set in a dystopian future (natch), where you are fighting in Asia, so expect plenty of maniacal mechanicals as well as the plain old foot soldier for you to take pot shots at.

There is something refreshingly no-nonsense about the game - it does exactly what it says on the tin - but presents it with some very nice graphics as well as a variety of multiplayer and online capability. …
