Walbottle Campus booked their place in the final of the Under-Nines Yellow Trophy with a 4-1 home win against Montagu Wizards.

Ryan Walton (2), Scott Hulse and Zak Dawson netted for Walbottle, Connor Dixon replying for Montagu.

Walker Whites were well on top in their semi-final with Cowgate Hawks. A Tony Innes hat-trick and one each from Jack Harrison, Ryan Richardson and Connor Poole made sure of their place in the decider.

In the Under-10s Toon Trophy, West Denton Lions recorded a 4-1 home victory over Wideopen.

Gary Exley (2) and Lee Crighton (2) were on target for Lions, Ryan Suddes notched one for Wideopen Bees.

Throckley Magpies go into the final after a home win against Newbiggin Hall. Hugh Donnison netted three and there was one apiece from Adam Lee and Sam Peareth for Throckley, Steven Barclay claiming a lone strike for Newbiggin.

All the finals of the trophy competitions will take place on Sunday, May 15 at the Football Development Centre, Gibside Gardens, Benwell. …
