For many of us, the opportunity to work in a paradise island like Bermuda would be a dream come true.

However, Andrew Playle swapped North America for the North-East this month, returning to the UK to embark on a new career with the region's largest law firm, Dickinson Dees.

Having spent the last two years at Bermuda's leading international law firm, Andrew decided to hang up his beach towel and head to Tyneside.

Prior to working in Bermuda with Appleby Spurling Hunter, Andrew spent eight years at Leeds-based Addleshaw Goddard, where he began his career in 1995.

The 36-year-old, who will commute from Durham to Dickinson Dees' Newcastle office, joins the firm as an associate in the private client department. He will be dealing with all aspects of private capital, from trusts to tax planning.
