Computer Chief Cleared of Fraud; in Brief
. A COMPUTER tycoon wept after a jury cleared him of a [pounds sterling]14million VAT fraud. Irishman Dylan Creaven, 31, director of Silicon Technologies Europe Ltd based in County Clare, denied at Blackfriars Crown Court that he conspired to cheat the public revenue by supplying VATfree silicon chips to UK firms that added the tax on resale but failed to pay Customs and Excise.
Creaven insisted he did not know the law was being broken.
Serial sex fiend at large - police
DETECTIVES fear a serial sex attacker is on the loose. Police believe that the same man may be responsible for four attacks in the Ilford area and have warned women to be on their guard. The suspect is European with tanned or olive skin, between 20-30 years old, of medium build and approximately 5ft 10in. He has bushy eyebrows, short black hair and speaks with a foreign accent.
