Sorry I'm Late, I Was Burgled, Says Naomi; Clothes Stolen in [Pounds Sterling]25,000 Raid on Cannes Yacht

NAOMI CAMPBELL today spoke of her ordeal after a thief took [pounds sterling]25,000-worth of jewellery and clothes from her Cannes yacht.
The burglar eluded security by pretending to be one of her staff and helped himself to the gems and designer outfits from her base at the film festival.
It happened on Campbell's 35th birthday, with many of the items lined up for a special charity auction.
Arriving three hours late for a party in the French resort, the model said: "They stole all my clothes - they took everything.
That's why I'm late."
Campbell's staff had to make panic calls to designers to line up outfits for her to wear for a weekend of parties, culminating with the Monte Carlo Grand Prix on Sunday.
"Her good friends Dolce and Gabbana came to the rescue," said Campbell's Italian agent, David Brown.
The stolen items were to have been auctioned last night for the Nelson Mandela Foundation to help poor children in South Africa, for which she has been an ambassador since 1997. …
