Boro Bears' scheduled challenge match with Hull Angels last night was called off after a long delay caused by a frightening crash involving Steve Boxall and Tommy Allen in the Hull Vikings v Rye House Rockets main event.

The Scott Bros Bears' proposed 15-heat challenge match at Armadale on July 16 has also been cancelled.


KILDALE take on Crathorne at Stokesley tomorrow evening (6pm) in the quarter final of the Lady Dorman Cup.

TONIGHT'S NYSD fixtures include:

KERRIDGE CUP (3rd rnd): Darlington v Richmond, Great Ayton v Hartlepool, Saltburn v Middlesbrough, Seaton Carew v Normanby Hall.

RAY BELL CUP (3rd rnd): Barnard Castle v Blackhall.

NYSD JUNIOR LG (south): Redcar v Saltburn.

Clay Pigeons

URLAY Nook increased their lead in the Cleveland and North Yorkshire Sporting Clay League to four points when beating Marne 173-154.

Paul Dowson shot a near perfect 24 for Urlay Nook, while Tony and Steve Masters scored 21s for Marne.

Fox Hall moved up to second place with a 172-155 win at Hardwick Hall.

Philip Armstrong was high gun with a 24 for Fox, while Micheal Brown scored a 23 for Hardwick Hall.

Stokesley stuttered in their away tie at Thimbleby. Nearly 80 members competed in what ended up in a one sided home win for Thimbleby 176-161. Veteran Ray Spence was high gun with 24 for Thimbleby. Kevin Bushby top scored for Stokesley with a 23.

Oak Lodge moved up to fourth with a 177-172 win at Spennymoor. John Garside scored 24 for the victors, and Jimmy Tones scored a 23 for Spennymoor.
