Suzy Henderson (Susie Amy) is a blind woman left alone in her Notting Hill basement flat while her husband is away on business.

Little does Suzy realise she is in possession of a doll stuffed with narcotics unknowingly brought back by hubby-dearest from a previous trip.

Enter Roat (Derren Nesbitt) and his cronies ( conmen determined to retrieve the hidden booty.

This revival of Frederick Knott's classic thriller promises thrills and chills. So was I scared? Gripped with terror as the story unfolded? Nope. What does terrify me, however, is the fact this woefully poor production ever made it on to the stage at all.

Words including `explosive', `exciting' and `dark' leap from the marketing material. I would suggest `tedious' and `long' while the only reason it was in any way `dark' was because they kept turning the lights off.

Former Footballers' Wives star Amy is dire in the leading role. …
