Robben's Target Is to Stay Fit and Feel like Real Winner

GIVEN his experience on his last visit to America, winger Arjen Robben could have been forgiven for quietly leaving his passport at home.

Just as Chelsea fans were beginning to appreciate the full extent of his talent on last year's summer tour of the USA, the Dutchman's ankle was shattered in a non-too-friendly match in Pittsburgh.

Robben recovered to play a full part in Chelsea's charge for the championship but two further foot injuries later, his season ended as it had begun.

Now the former PSV Eindhoven winger is fully fit again and enjoying preseason, which continues with Sunday's friendly against AC Milan in Boston.

"Last year was a difficult season for me," he said.

"I was very frustrated by the injuries and I didn't really feel like a winner. That's why my main target this season is to play games and stay fit.

"I don't worry about the ankle anymore. I'm really looking forward to next season and am already enjoying being back on the pitch. …
