Machete Attack Cyclist Was Buying Gift for Son

A CYCLIST stabbed to death in the street was a father of four who was attacked on the way to buy a present for his son.

Mark Andre Biggs, 39, was killed with what police believe was an 18-inch machete as he cycled in Camberwell.

Today two of Mr Biggs's friends told of their anguish at the apparently unprovoked attack.

Mohamad Kamara, 23, who met Mr Biggs on most evenings in the pub, said: "Mark was on his way to Argos to buy a digital radio for his son and this happened. I can't believe he is gone.

"He would normally be sitting here quietly drinking with us all now. I don't know why this happened, it isn't right."

Mr Kamara said he had been in Camberwell Green at the time of the murder in a shopping arcade at 5.15pm on Monday. "I saw the police cars and ran to see what had happened. …
