-- St. Joseph's/Candler Home Healthcare Inc. received an award from the Georgia Medical Care Foundation, a Medicare Quality Improvement Organization, for its quality of care in oral medication management. St. Joseph's/Candler serves St. Marys and Kingsland, Ga.

-- Eddie McClain of Tom James Clothiers has been awarded the company's Leadership and President's Executive awards for his achievements in management and sales.

-- The Jacksonville chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association won four awards at FPRA's statewide conference held last month in St. Petersburg. The local group received awards for being "Best in State for Student Development" and "Best in State for Leadership Development," and earned first place in the newsletter and third place in the Web site categories for Communications Awards.

-- Barbara Kruger, assistant professor of community/public health nursing at the University of North Florida, has received the 2005 Outstanding Public Nursing Leadership Award from the Florida Association of Public Health Nurses.

-- Axia Public Relations and Marketing received the 2005 Golden Image Award from the Florida Public Relations Association for its campaign promoting Modis, a division of MPS Group Inc., during the Super Bowl held in Jacksonville. The Jacksonville-based agency also was recognized by FPRA's local chapter with an Image Award of Distinction for developing an event marketing campaign for the American Cancer Society's Cowford Ball.

-- Idea Integration, the technology solutions and systems integration unit of MPS Group Inc., has been recognized with 2005 Microsoft Manager's Excellence Awards for Customer Service and Product Excellence: Information Worker.


-- Jacksonville Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Inc. has moved to 1475 Atlantic Blvd. in Neptune Beach; the new space is 500 square feet larger than its former Atlantic Beach facility.


-- Ring Power Corp. opened a branch on Jacksonville's Northside at 330 Pecan Park Road, near Interstate 95. The approximately 27,200-square-foot facility includes offices, warehouse and parts operations, service shops and a Cat Rental Store.

-- Brandon Pest Control opened an office at 249 College Drive in Orange Park to serve Jacksonville's Westside, Clay County, Baldwin and MacClenny. The new office will be led by general manager Randy Bawden, who has been with the company for more than 10 years, and supervisor Nathan Daly.
