Barrister Tony Cornberg can't forget the day he saw an attempted child snatch take place right in front of his eyes.

It spurred him in to using his every spare hour to write and now he has joined the ranks of Britain's crime fiction writers, with his first published novel Unnoticed.

Tony, 27, of West Moor, Killingworth, is a familiar face on the North East law circuit, where he works in criminal and immigration practice.

Needless to say, the hero of his book is a barrister who goes by the name Simon Silver.

Tony said: "About four years ago I was coming out of a Tyneside supermarket car park when I saw a woman who had two children with her.

"She was putting one of them in to her car and the other, a baby, was sitting in the supermarket trolley at the back of the car as she was doing it.

"While she had her back turned this bloke got out of a car and crept up and made a grab for the little baby.

"She turned around and started to scream at him and he jumped back in the car and drove off. …
